About Tim Riordan

Dr. Tim Riordan is a pastor, author, husband, and father. He grew up in a Christian family who helped him to learn the importance of God’s word at an early age and who helped him get involved in ministry as a child. Tim came to know Jesus as his personal Savior at the age of seven. He and his brother began singing and speaking to groups and churches while in their early teens, and Tim went on staff at a church at the age of seventeen. At nineteen years old, Tim became a pastor at a church in the metro-Atlanta area. He has served churches in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas in a variety of positions including pastor, minister of music, minister of education and administration, and student minister.

Tim received a music degree from the University of Georgia, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. God called Tim to join the ministry team of SonRise Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia in September of 2008. SonRise is a contemporary church with a relevant message that comes from the ageless truths found in the Bible.

Other than Jesus Christ, the best part of Tim’s life is his wife, Sandra, and his six children and four grandchildren. Tim and Sandra were married in December of 1983, and God has blessed them with six children who love and serve the Lord.

Other than serving in ministry, writing books, and consulting with other authors, Tim enjoys scuba diving and backpacking. He is a sectional hiker of the Appalachian Trail and is close to accomplishing a lifelong goal of completing the 2200 mile trail.

Tim has authored six non-fiction books including Songs from the Heart: Meeting With God in the Psalms,  Immovable: Standing Firm in the Last Days, and Wisdom Speaks: Life Lessons from Proverbs. His newest book is offered to authors and aspiring writers as a resource to help market book: The Next Bestseller: Book Marketing for Success. All of his books are available on Amazon.com.
